Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands meets Virtual Proteins
Queen Beatrix had her 25th anniversary as the queen of the Netherlands in 2005. She was visiting every province in the Netherlands in 2005 and the 18th of October Eindhoven in Noord Brabant was up on the list. Eindhoven is profiling itself as the innovation cradle of the province and part of the visit was aimed at showing her majesty the High Tech Campus. Six high tech startups were selected to be presented, of which Virtual Proteins was the only independent startup.
Mr. Gerard Kleisterlee, CEO of Philips, introduced the queen to our CEO, Ms. Jackie Schooleman. She explained the queen the principle of our product. After this explanation, the queen looked through our prototype and she seemed very interested and asked Ms. Schooleman some more questions. Afterwards the presentation was repeated to the assembled guests and press.
