Development Partners

Virtual Proteins is developing its unique line of products in cooperation with a number of strong partners that will implement their knowledge or technology within the products:

Hewlett Packard, The Netherlands
HP is a technology company that operates in more than 170 countries around the world. They provide infrastructure and business offerings that span from handheld devices to some of the world's most powerful supercomputer installations. Virtual Proteins has entered the Developer & Solution Partner Program (DSPP) of HP. Hewlett Packard will give Virtual Proteins access to all hardware needed to show on international exhibitions like ENTRY 2006, trade-shows like "Het Element" and "Het Instrument" in the Netherlands. HP and Virtual Proteins are cooperating to test the latest HW-technology with our Virtual Reality applications.

Foldyne Pharmaceuticals, The Netherlands
Foldyne Pharmaceuticals offers services in the field of molecular modeling and the main focus of Foldyne is "In Silico" structure determination of proteins and virtual screening of large molecules. With Foldyne Pharmaceuticals we develop a module for the VP MicroLab to be able to do thermodynamic docking simulations on protein-ligand and protein-protein interactions.

TU/e, Eindhoven, the Netherlands
The Computational Science department of the Eindhoven University of Technology will offer Virtual Proteins access to the use of their NumLab technology, a method to do “rapid software development” in C++ in an architectural structure. This technology is ideal for multi-programmer software development. Virtual Proteins expects this method to be the software-development tool of the future. TU/e assists Virtual Proteins in using this technology in a commercial environment. This technology might also be useful when implementing the Drug Design Library and its recipes into Virtual Proteins’ MicroLab. TU/e will assist Virtual Proteins in setting up artificial intelligence models to sort 3D –information rapidly, one of the hot issues in protein database searching.

LaQuSo, Eindhoven, the Netherlands
LaQuSo stands for the Laboratory for Quality Software. It’s mission is to become recognized as one of Europe’s leading scientific institutes for quality of software. LaQuSo will aim to measure, quantify and predict the quality of the designed software in order to increase the predictability of the development process. LaQuSo will deliver their expertise on the software side to guarantee the quality and efficiency of the Virtual Proteins software.
