Virtual Proteins MicroLab

The Virtual Proteins MicroLab is a combination of intelligent software that runs on a low-end platform (PC, VPL Client) and a new innovative hardware device called Virtual Proteins LabroScope©, which is a kind of virtual reality microscope which enables the user to interact with the 3D-protein model, using augmented reality techniques. When the user looks into this LabroScope ©, connected to his PC, he will see the dynamic molecule projected between his own hands and he can use special 3D-tools to modify and analyze this virtual model.

The Virtual Proteins MicroLab software will give the user the possibility to enter any known proteomics structure or process, and enter specific research info about the characteristics of this proteomics structure and/or process. The software will convert all the input into a 3D or 4D image projected through the LabroScope©.

The Virtual Proteins MicroLab can be connected the Virtual Proteins User community through the Internet to download the latest scientific information or latest software from the Virtual Proteins Server. Furthermore, Virtual Proteins MicroLabs can be connected to each other in a network environment to increase the research (and cooperation) possibilities offered by the MicroLabs.
